Researchers in China have achieved a major milestone in maglev technology by accelerating a 1.1-tonne experimental vehicle to 700 km/h within two seconds. The test was conducted on a 400-metre superconducting maglev track, where the vehicle completed the run and was brought to a controlled stop.
