Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng NAMRIA na pormal nang pinagtibay ng Pilipinas ang pangalang “West Philippine Sea” sa mga publikasyon ng gobyerno mula noong 2012. Ayon sa NAMRIA, ang West Philippine Sea ay kasama sa lahat ng administratibong mapa, topographic na mapa, thematic na mapa, at nautical chart. | ABS-CBN News
